1. Introduction & Acceptance 🤝

Welcome to Barhops! By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Core Features & Usage 📱

Barhops allows you to:

  • Find bars and pubs near your current location.
  • Create and save "Bar Crawls" (routes).
  • Save favorite bars and track your history.
  • Add friends and share your activity.
  • Upload photos and write reviews.

You agree to use these features responsibly and not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

Barhops is only available in supported locations. Please refer to our Supported Locations page for the latest information.

3. User Content & Social Features 📸

Your Content: When you post photos, reviews, or create crawls, you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant Barhops a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App and for marketing purposes.

Social Interactions: You can add friends and share your crawls. You are responsible for your interactions with other users. We reserve the right to remove content or ban users who engage in harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate behavior.

4. Location Services 📍

The App requires access to your device's location to function correctly (e.g., finding nearby bars). By using the App, you consent to our collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Liability & Safety Disclaimer 🚫

Alcohol Consumption: Barhops is for entertainment purposes only. We do not encourage excessive drinking. You are solely responsible for your alcohol consumption and safety.

Route Safety: Our AI generates routes based on data, but it cannot predict real-time conditions (e.g., construction, safety of an area). Always prioritize your safety and situational awareness.

No Liability: Barhops and its creators are NOT liable for any personal injury, property damage, legal issues, or other damages arising from your use of the App or participation in any bar crawl.

6. AI & Data Accuracy 🤖

We use Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Google Gemini) to suggest routes and venues. AI can "hallucinate" or provide outdated information. We do not guarantee the accuracy of opening hours, prices, or existence of venues. Always verify with the venue directly.

7. Termination 🛑

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
