When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and password (encrypted). You may also choose to upload a profile picture.

B. Location Data

We collect your precise location data to:

  • Find bars and pubs near you.
  • Verify your location for "checking in" to venues.
  • Generate relevant crawl routes.

We only access your location while you are using the App.

C. User Activity & Content

We store data related to your usage, including:

  • Favorites: Bars you have saved.
  • Crawls: Routes you have created or joined.
  • Social: Your friends list and friend requests.
  • Media: Photos you upload and reviews you write.

2. How We Use Your Information 🛠️

  • To provide and improve the App's functionality.
  • To personalize your experience (e.g., suggesting bars based on history).
  • To facilitate social features (e.g., showing your crawls to friends).
  • To communicate with you about updates or account issues.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties 🤝

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted services necessary to run the App:

  • Supabase: For secure database hosting and authentication.
  • Google Maps / Apple Maps: To display maps and location data.
  • Google Gemini (AI): We send anonymized location context (e.g., "bars near [lat, long]") to generate crawl suggestions.

4. Data Retention & Deletion 🗑️

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time:

Upon deletion, your personal data is removed from our active databases. Some anonymized data (e.g., aggregate bar ratings) may be retained.
